Cry me a river

Amazing achievements are made possible due to a lot of hard work. I'm looking to achieve something so great, but am struggling with the hard work.
My daily routine involves so much effort. But I am in a great deal of pain and discomfort at the moment, which is adding to the difficulty. Once again, the pain is a sign that the treatment is working. This is good. But also very hard to remember when I can't swing myself into bed, get my pants on, or end up getting stuck in the bath........
Most days I'd turn these happenings into a comedy and we'd all have a good laugh, today's not the day.
Boo Hoo to me.
bbbbbboooo hhhhhhhhhhhhoooooooooooo
There, that feels better........

home......carrots....wow!

Hello sweet friends!
I have been home almost 3 weeks, and let me tell you it's been one massive blur! I've been caught up in a whirlwind of carrot juice (2 liters per day), enemas, injections, sleep, good eating, pain, green juice (1 litre per day), vitamins.....blah blah blah.
I went from Mexico, where everything was done for me for one month, and now it's all up to me. Wow! The treatment has also caused lots of inflammation (this is good) in the tumor site (pelvis, groin, hip, sciatic) so walking is not my strong point at the moment. Which adds to the trickyness of the crazy regime.
But it's all good. With all my whining, I am feeling positive about the treatment and am ready to keep kickin' it.
Now of you'll excuse me, I gotta go shoot some carrot juice....

3 down, 1 to go!

Ok, before you all go thinking that I am having a big crazy party time in Mexico...I'm not! Haha! It is me in a Mexican restaurant 2 months ago....oh yes.
Hard to believe 3 weeks of treatment have passed and I have 1 more to go, how time flies. A nurse said to me today it's because I am so relaxed about everything. Very sweet of her, but they are taking such good care of me, I couldn't be any other way.
It's the end of the week and this is when I start feeling a little pooped. This week I had the Coley's treatment every day, which my immune system has responded very well to...but that also means extra tired. But hey, that's what bed is for! Surprisingly, I'm still liking the 13 juices per day...probably because with every gulp I hear those nasty cells screaming! The 3 enemas are just dandy..and that is all I will say about that. If you want more info, you can message me in private!

Love to all!

Ya give me fever..

Hola.......

Ok, so not blogging as much as I had hoped, but getting my act in gear as of right now! I thought I'd have so much time on my hands that I'd be staring at the wall and re-lacing my tennis racquet, but that's not the case. This week has been action packed. I have been receiving the immunotherapy treatment daily, which has been surprisingly tolerable but somewhat tiring. I get a good ol needle in the arm in the morning and a few hours later I start to feel fevery and shivery..as if I'm getting the flu. ''Aw, that's not nice'' you say...no it's a really good thing! The stronger reaction, the more the treatment is working, woo hoo! So every hour when my temperature is taken and it is higher...fiesta time! Bring out the tequila and piƱatas. Got pain? Yes, this is also something to embrace! So, basically all the things that make us cranky and want to hibernate, make me excited and motivated ( and crawl into bed, of course) Yesterday's fever 38 degrees, today bring on 39!
is it hot in here, or is it just me?

Let it begin...

It's been a while since I've had my blog brain switched on, but it's back and ready to roll....
So much has happened in the past month that I'm not even sure where to begin. I will start by saying this; I am in Mexico, 3.5 days into my treatment! More importantly, I am able to be here because of the amazing love and support I have had from family, friend's and strangers (far and wide). Everyone has been so amazing at making sure this treatment becomes a reality for me. To each and everyone of you, THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! XX

And now for the part you've all been waiting for....the treatment.
I am at http://chipsa.com/ (for those who want an good read) in Playa Del Tijuana.
All is going well so far. The hospital is spotless, and the staff are super friendly and attentive. The treatment is rigorous and demanding, but manageable as I know I'm kickin rogue cells into outter space!

My treatment at the moment goes a little something like this, a brief overview:
6.am -wake up to a nice warm pot of coffee (used for an enema!)
7a.m. -B12 injection in ma butt (except they're using my thigh cause my butt is meatless!)
8a.m. juice #1 of 13 arrives and some breakfast
9a.m. Doctor(extremely good looking one)comes for chats and juice (he doesn't indulge in one, only me)..
10a.m.juice
11a.m. hydrotherapy (basically you are a teabag, in hot water that continues to get hotter) cancer don't like heat! aaaaand more juice.
12pm- Immunotherapy injection and for a change some juice
1pm-juice
2pm-lunch and juice
3pm-coffee enema with a side of juice
4pm-juice
5pm-juice
6pm-juice
7pm-juice and dinner
8pm-coffee enema and the final juice woo hoo...

Phew...all this and lotsa vitamins, siting in the sun, sleeping, blood tests and vital checks.  The team here are very positive and thorough...I'm feeling good and I am ready to kick some major ass!

Same blog, lotsa new info!

Hello Friends.....

Once again, your response has been overwhelming to say the least! I am hugely grateful to have so many amazing people in my life. Thank you all so much for your generosity and responding hastily with your ideas, love, donations and time. You are all making this tough time in my life much more manageable.

I am keeping positive and feeling good about my prospective treatments. I am aiming to begin February 20th and should be in treatment until March 20th, just a bit of spring cleaning, right?

Until then, I will continue my health regime. Unsightly,  yet oh so tasty, green concoctions (pictured above), nutrient rich foody goodness,  Acupuncture, Reiki, swimming, laughing, crying (it's ok, cleanses the eyeballs.... and the cat), dancing (fairly awkwardly, with the curtains closed!), spending time with wonderful people, and living each day like I mean it!

There are many fundraising events in the works, here in Vancouver and internationally. Here are some of the amazing events being planned so far..mark your calendars!:
Lots more news to come! Again, my sincere thanks goes out to everyone.
